The film continues the studio’s documentary series, that was honored with a special award from the President of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in culture and the arts. Its narrative centers around unique episode from the history of the Holocaust in Belarus and the heroic resistance of local residents against the Nazi occupation. The last prisoners of the Novogrudok Ghetto managed to escape by digging a 200-meter-long tunnel.

The film employs a docudrama style, blending documentary footage with dramatic reenactments—which immerse the viewer in the atmosphere of the events and imprees it with sand animation. The sequence of events is reconstructed step by step, from the initial plan to the fateful night of the escape. Special attention is paid to the challenges inevitably faced during the project's execution: where to hide the excavated sand, how to bring light and ventilation into the tunnel, and how to conceal all these preparations from the omnipresenet Germans and auxiliary police.
