1896, Paris. The Marius Decresp's book "Narkewicz-Jodko. Life and activity" was published. This book was dedicated to the amazing discoveries of Belarusian scientist, physician, inventor Jakub Narkewicz-Jodko. This name was well-known all over Europe - a member of the Imperial Institute of Experimental Medicine in St. Petersburg, the Physico-Mathematical Society of Galileo in Florence, the French Electrotherapeutic Society under the Paris Academy of Sciences... A unique method of electrotherapy, the "Iodko system" was successful everywhere.
Narkevich-Iodko needed only a glance at the patient or rather his electrograph to "read" his illness, establish a diagnosis and - guess the mood!
In his homeland, in the Minsk province, the "electric man" opened his own sanatorium "Nad-Neman". But his patients did not take any medications and pills.
