The film was shot in Mir Castle (Mir, Belarus) and at the Lubansky Estate (Loshitsky Park, Minsk).

Particular attention was paid to the props. The artist-designer have made the book "The Great Art of Artillery" herself according to the edition that is kept in the National Library of Belarus. Even the crack of wax stamps on the letters is real.
